Lessons From My Kids

Fear is an emotion caused by a belief.

You CAN check your beliefs and You CAN remain fearless.

How? It’s because of this truth:

You have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love, & self-discipline ~ 2 Tim. 1:7

In my coaching circle, The Grounds Crew Guide by , a photo sparked this introspection, leading me to ponder the chains of the past I’m still clinging to.

We’re wired to seek comfort, to stay within the known. Yet, pushing beyond, whether it’s in weight loss, entrepreneurial ventures, or forming new habits, meets resistance from within and without.

This week, my head coach echoed a critical reminder through Isaiah 43:18-19, urging us not to dwell on the past but to look forward to the new paths being forged for us.

If you, like me, find the shadows of the past looming over your potential future, let’s make a pact to let go. We’re too remarkable to remain stagnant. Embrace the love, wisdom, and guidance that’s been laid before us.

Let’s liberate ourselves from the chains of yesterday and step boldly into tomorrow.

Your stories, your struggles, and your victories inspire me every day. Let’s share, support, and grow together. What’s holding you back? Let’s shed it off and shine together.

“In a year of transformative coaching with , I’ve journeyed deep into the realms of self-awareness. I discovered a natural inclination towards problem-solving, a trait that, while valuable, often led me down paths burdened with challenges not mine to bear. 🔄🕒

This journey illuminated a pivotal lesson: the art of discernment in committing to challenges. Much like the strategic play of an Uno game, where a ‘No’ can effortlessly be flipped with a Reverse card, I learned that it’s significantly harder to backtrack on a ‘Yes’—especially when it involves commitments that were never meant for us. The simplicity of a ‘No’ could save us from the complexities of unwinding a ‘Yes’ that draws us into a whirlpool of unintended consequences. 🚫➡️🃏

Not all problems that cross our paths demand our resolution. Some are meant to be observed, others to be learned from, but not directly engaged with. This year, my biggest win wasn’t about the problems I solved but recognizing which ones were mine to solve and which ones to let pass. It’s a liberating realization that not every ‘Yes’ is a door to opportunity; sometimes, it’s a maze that leads away from our true path. 🔄🚪

Let’s carry this insight forward: Embrace the power of ‘No’ as a protective shield, and engage with ‘Yes’ as a key to doors meant for us. Here’s to mastering the art of discernment and navigating the myriad challenges life throws our way with wisdom and grace. 🛡️🔑
