One thing I see again and again: medications make more sense when there’s time to talk them through.

In busy pharmacy settings, that time is often limited, PaceRx was built to create space for those conversations so patients and caregivers can feel more confident and supported.

I recently completed the Age-Friendly Pharmacist badge through the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, aligned with the Age-Friendly Care framework developed by the John A. Hartford Foundation.

This evidence-based approach focuses on what matters most to older adults - including safe, appropriate medication use - and closely reflects the work I do at PaceRx to support medication accuracy and safety.

Proud to bring this age-friendly lens into my work with patients and families. 💛

The medication list in your chart is often wrong.

Not because anyone failed; but because the system makes it hard to keep it accurate.

Medications get stopped, doses change, prescriptions are added from urgent care or the hospital… and the list doesn’t always catch up.

Yet every medical decision that follows is based on that list.

This isn’t a clinician problem.
It’s a systems problem and patients and families are left navigating the gaps.

That’s why I started PaceRx: to help make sure medication decisions are based on what you’re actually taking.

If you’ve ever looked at a medication list and thought, “That’s not right,” you’re not alone.

Most medication questions don’t happen on a schedule.

PaceRx is built around ongoing support, someone who already knows your medications, your history, and your goals, and can help you make sense of things as they come up.

Not rushed. Not one-and-done. Just steady support over time, so you’re not starting from scratch every time something changes.

Medication tip of the week 💊
If you take multiple medications, keep an updated medication list in your phone or wallet, including over-the-counter meds and supplements. It makes doctor visits safer and helps prevent drug interactions.

If you ever want help reviewing your medications or simplifying your routine, that’s exactly what I help with at PaceRx Consulting.

A new year often brings a lot of reflection and for many families, quiet questions about medications.

Questions like:
“Are all of these still needed?”
“Could something be causing side effects?”
“I just want to feel confident that nothing is being missed.”

When you’re managing multiple medications for yourself or someone you love, the uncertainty can be exhausting. Nothing may feel urgent, but peace of mind still matters.

My goal is to help people feel clear, informed, and supported when it comes to their medications - without rushing, pressure, or guesswork.

If you’re heading into the new year wanting clarity and a calmer approach to medication care, I’m here as a resource.

Wishing everyone a healthy start to 2026 🤍

I just read a Wall Street Journal article about how many seniors in the U.S. are taking multiple medications from multiple providers, often without anyone regularly reviewing the full picture.

This is exactly where an independent pharmacist can help.

Doctors prescribe medications to treat specific conditions, but the healthcare system isn’t set up for someone to consistently step back, look at all medications together over time, and ask:
• Are these all still needed?
• Are there interactions or side effects?
• Could these medications be contributing to falls, confusion, or fatigue?

That’s the gap I help fill; supporting seniors and caregivers by reviewing medications as a whole and helping make them safer, simpler, and easier to manage.

One in six seniors enrolled in Medicare’s drug benefit were prescribed eight or more medications at the same time, an analysis of Medicare data found.

💊 I help you get the most out of your medications, safely and easily.
Doctors prescribe your medications, but I review them all together (prescription, OTC, supplements, etc.), check for interactions, simplify schedules, and provide ongoing guidance tailored to your daily life. Think of me as your personal medication coach, helping your prescriptions work for you.

Wishing everyone a calm and joyful Christmas week!
As you gather with loved ones, it’s a great time to double check that aging parents have the medications they need for the holidays- refills, organizers, and any winter essentials. Little steps can make a big difference in keeping them safe and independent.

💊 Medication Fact of the Week

Did you know that as we age, our bodies process medications differently?
A dose that was “fine” at 60 can be too strong at 75, especially for medications that cause dizziness, confusion, or drowsiness.

That’s why it’s important for older adults to regularly review:
• Over-the-counter products (like sleep aids or allergy meds)
• Supplements (some interact with heart or thyroid meds)
• Meds from multiple specialists (they don’t always communicate with each other)

A quick review can prevent falls, confusion, and unnecessary side effects and help seniors stay safer at home.
