Browns Ferry Community Outreach proudly recognizes Autism Awareness Month — a time to uplift, support, and celebrate individuals on the autism spectrum and the families who love them.

Autism is not a one-size-fits-all journey. Every child, every individual, and every family has their own story, their own strengths, and their own challenges. This month is about more than awareness — it is about acceptance, inclusion, understanding, and advocacy.

We stand with our families who navigate therapies, IEPs, daily routines, and the unseen battles with strength and resilience. We honor the children who see the world differently and beautifully. And we recognize the importance of a community that shows patience, kindness, and support.

Brown’s Ferry Community Outreach would like to proudly congratulate our board member, Tranja Simmons! 🎉

Georgetown County earned not one, but two prestigious safety awards from the SC Counties’ Insurance Trust this year — the Outstanding Safety Achievement Award and the Sustained Excellence Award.

The Sustained Excellence Award highlights Georgetown County’s continued commitment to maintaining and exceeding risk management standards year after year.

We are incredibly proud of Tranja Simmons and all county staff who work diligently to make safety a top priority every day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

In honor of Women’s History Month,
Browns Ferry Community Outreach would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate an extraordinary woman on our team Mrs. Shunda Castle.

Mrs. Castle is the true definition of strength, resilience, and dedication. As a devoted mother, grandmother, community advocate, and valued employee, she continues to uplift those around her every single day. Despite enduring the heartbreaking loss of her mother, she has remained a pillar of strength for her family, caring for her daughter and granddaughter while maintaining her full-time position and continuing her education.
Through every challenge, she has never given up. Her perseverance, grace, and commitment to both her family and her community inspire us all.

Today, we proudly honor Mrs. Shunda Castle for her unwavering spirit and the incredible example she sets. Thank you for all that you do you are truly appreciated and celebrated.
