My approach to therapy is by building a connection of trust with each of those individuals and then meeting them where they are.
I believe that learning shouldn’t be aversive, and consent and motivation should be the drive when working with this population.
I believe that one of my strengths is the ability to identify individual strengths and weaknesses and build programs that use the strengths to build on weaknesses, block by block, empowering the clients without exposing them to unnecessary stress and frustration.
I believe in the power of ABA and I know there is no such thing as the client’s fault, if there are no results then the approach is to be blamed. Seeing the progress and the smile on these kids’ faces is what I go to work for.
What makes me special………
Is getting those kids heart first and then being there for them and with them when doing the hard work. I cannot wait to meet your little one and together to start a new adventure.
Sincerely,
Aura Garza, BCBA
