🐾 Chiro Word of the Week:
Proprioception
Pro•pri•o•cep•tion
The body’s ability to sense where it is in space — without having to look. It’s what helps your pet know where their feet are, maintain balance, coordinate movement, and move confidently through their environment.
In pets, healthy proprioception is essential for running, jumping, climbing, and even simple things like standing up or navigating stairs. When the spine is misaligned, nerve communication can become disrupted, which may affect proprioception and lead to clumsiness, stiffness, hesitation, or changes in movement patterns.
In the first video we see sweet Darby having lack of proper proprioception. Stumbling and unable to maintain balance and proper form. In the second video, we see Darby holding form, walking properly and balanced!
✨ Gentle chiropractic adjustments help restore proper spinal alignment, allowing the nervous system to communicate more clearly with the body. When that communication improves, proprioception often improves too — supporting better balance, coordination, and overall comfort for your pet.
Because when your pet moves better, they feel better. 🐾💚
