If Christmas feels heavy this year, remember the first Christmas wasn’t loud or polished either.
Jesus came to the poor (Mary & Joseph), the overlooked (shepherds), the outsider/foreigner (wise men), and the weary (Simeon and Anna).
This season still belongs to you.

The holidays are joyful...and often stressful. When tension rises, healthy coping techniques act like a “toolbox,” helping calm your mind and give your body a chance to reset.
Deep breathing, grounding exercises, gratitude, and visualizing a peaceful place can all help reduce stress. Also remember that God invites us to turn to Him in every anxious moment.
“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” (Psalm 94:19)
What’s your favorite way to find peace during this busy season?
And if you find this season especially difficult, we’re here to help.

🤖 AI tools like ChatGPT are being used more to support mental wellness, from self-care prompts to practicing coping skills between sessions.
But can AI even replace human therapy? 🧠
In this article, Dr. Brandon Hayes (PhD, LP) shares the potential, the limits, and the risks of AI in mental health care. While these tools may help supplement therapy, they’re no substitute for a trained counselor who can respond to the heart, not just a person's words/prompts.
“God created humans to be connected and relational. Healing happens in connection.”
Explore how AI is shaping mental health care and why true healing still comes through faith, wisdom, and human connection.

Did you know our School Wellness Coordinator, Jane Mose, from Christian Family Solutions visits classrooms to support student emotional and spiritual well-being?
Just before our break, she led a meaningful session on Godly Thinking for our 6th–8th graders—especially in their digital media lives—helping them see how the choices they make now shape their future. She also reminded them that our time on earth is brief and that Christ should be at the center of all we do.

As Christians, we have found such joy and peace in God that we desire to share it with others. We not only want to bring the Good News of salvation to those individuals who are of our faith, but we also want to do as the Lord has commanded us in Galatians 6:10, saying: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.”
This is the reason for which Christian Family Solutions (formerly referred to as Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service) was first established—to do good to all people.
On July 13, 1965, the Board of Directors filed the Articles of Incorporation for Wisconsin Lutheran Convalescent Home, Inc. (WLCH). The Green Tree Gardens Convalescent and Nursing Home was purchased, and WLCH began operating the facility on August 1, 1965.
In January of 1966, it was decided that the WLCH was in need of expanded services not only to accommodate more patients and residents, but also to provide social services.
On March 4, 1966, the name of the agency was officially changed to Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service, Inc. (WLCFS).
Later, in October 2011, the WLCFS became known as Christian Family Solutions. This allowed for more expansive branding and communicated the organization’s global reach.
Over the decades, our programs and services have changed, grown, and adapted with the changing needs of those we serve. Our outreach now extends to all those who are in need of our healing and helping ministry.
We work as a team to reach out and make an impact on the lives of all, while living out our mission of “healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ.”
