Some teens are doing everything “right” on the outside. Food grades, showing up, staying involved…
But inside? It’s a different story.
High-functioning anxiety can be easy to miss, even for the person experiencing it. You might feel like you’re “managing,” so maybe you don’t need help. Or that others need help more.
But mental health isn’t a competition.
If you’re constantly tense, overwhelmed, or running on empty, that matters. And it’s worth paying attention to before it turns into burnout, exhaustion, or something more serious.
Seeking help isn’t a last resort. It’s a wise step toward staying healthy—mentally, physically, and spiritually.

They provide in-person and online counseling for concerns including:
• Anxiety and depression

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
In this role, you’ll play a key behind-the-scenes part in advancing our counseling ministry by ensuring accurate data, strong reporting, and effective development operations.
👉 If you’re organized, analytical, and passionate about using your skills to support meaningful, faith-based work, we’d love to connect.
Sharla Boyer hosted a CFS table at Sunset Serenity at Mankato East High School last week. 🌅 She shared our resources and support for teens, including information about our Online Day Treatment for Teens program.
Community events like this focused on mental health, relaxation, and connection, give students a much‑needed break as the school year winds down. Thank you to Mankato East for creating such a thoughtful space for students!

Spring fills up quickly. Schedules pick up. Calendars get busy. And even with more people around, it’s easy to stay at the surface.
But meaningful connection doesn’t happen by accident.
A simple check-in, done with intention, can open the door to a deeper conversation. It can be the moment someone needed more than you realize.
You don’t need the perfect words. Just show up, listen, and care.
That’s where connection begins. 🌱

April is Counseling Awareness Month, a time to recognize the meaningful, often life-changing work happening every day.
At Christian Family Solutions, we’re especially grateful for our counselors who walk alongside individuals, couples, and families with both clinical excellence and Christ-centered care. They meet people in moments of struggle, help carry burdens, and point them toward healing, hope, and truth.
Counseling is a place to grow, to process, to strengthen relationships, and to care for the whole person - mind, body, and soul.
If you’ve ever wondered what counseling is or whether it might help you or someone you love, these are a few good places to start:
Sharla Boyer represented Christian Family Solutions at a recent mental health awareness event at Mankato East High School in Minnesota.
Sharla had the opportunity to connect with students and share about our Online Day Treatment for Teens program, which offers support, structure, and hope for teens navigating mental health challenges.
Someone in your community is struggling right now, quietly carrying anxiety, grief, or pain.
Because of supporters like you, they don’t have to face it alone.
We’re expanding church-based counseling clinics and training more Christian therapists to meet that need, and you can be part of it.
Would you consider being part of this work?

📱Raising kids in today’s digital world isn’t easy, and it’s a conversation families can’t afford to avoid.
We’re thankful for the opportunity CFS counselor Mark Krause had to present at Salem Lutheran of Woodbury in Minnesota on “Being a Christian Kid in the Electronic Age.” Together with parents and church members, he explored the real challenges technology brings, from the pull of social media to the risks kids face online, while grounding the conversation in timeless biblical truth.

As Christians, we have found such joy and peace in God that we desire to share it with others. We not only want to bring the Good News of salvation to those individuals who are of our faith, but we also want to do as the Lord has commanded us in Galatians 6:10, saying: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.”
This is the reason for which Christian Family Solutions (formerly referred to as Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service) was first established—to do good to all people.
On July 13, 1965, the Board of Directors filed the Articles of Incorporation for Wisconsin Lutheran Convalescent Home, Inc. (WLCH). The Green Tree Gardens Convalescent and Nursing Home was purchased, and WLCH began operating the facility on August 1, 1965.
In January of 1966, it was decided that the WLCH was in need of expanded services not only to accommodate more patients and residents, but also to provide social services.
On March 4, 1966, the name of the agency was officially changed to Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service, Inc. (WLCFS).
Later, in October 2011, the WLCFS became known as Christian Family Solutions. This allowed for more expansive branding and communicated the organization’s global reach.
Over the decades, our programs and services have changed, grown, and adapted with the changing needs of those we serve. Our outreach now extends to all those who are in need of our healing and helping ministry.
We work as a team to reach out and make an impact on the lives of all, while living out our mission of “healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ.”
