Hi! It’s been awhile…I know I’ve been quiet recently…. With being a first year teacher, unfortunately dog bows have kind of been pushed to the back burner BUT this is incredibly important to me.
I’m going to make dog bows for the next week where ALL of the money I get will go to this rescue. Normally it’s 10%, this week it’s 100%. AND I’ll make one of any size for a donation of any amount $3 or more.
If you’re interested in taking me up on this offer, send me a message or a text. I appreciate your support! 🐾💜
CALLING THE 💗 PACK:
Peter is still at the ER Vet (AVECCC). Had he not come to the rescue when he did, he would be dead in the dirt in Mexico. He must be a very special dog if the universe chose to save him by bringing him to us. Peter is just the tip of the iceberg. We have a Parvo puppy still at the Queen Creek ER fighting for his life too. That bill is over $6,000 after paying $5,000 for the one released yesterday.
To add insult to injury, we now have a contained, but devastating outbreak of distemper in the rescue. Thankfully we buy only the best vaccines, but this is a wild type of distemper that seems to be trying to outsmart the vaccine. It’s thousands of dollars to treat them and we’re drowning in vet bills right now.
We try so hard to help the voiceless, but 2022 has started off horribly. I’m genuinely afraid for the dogs of Arizona and we need your help. If you can find it in your heart to donate even five dollars, we would be so grateful. We try so hard not to say no, but until we get this under control, or raise a ton of money, we won’t be able to help anyone. It’s devastating to all of us as we pride ourselves in saying “how can we help” versus “I’m sorry.”
We are being incredibly cautious now and holding dogs longer. The worst feeling in the world is to call the adopter of a darling puppy and have to explain that their puppy was exposed. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to everyone. I’ve spent many days crying and apologizing. Being cautious is why you’ll notice that we haven't had the usual amount of adopted dogs recently which helps with our medical bills.
I do promise one thing, we will never abandon our sick dogs or their adopters. We love them and we love you. We’re in this together. Thank you for believing in us and trying to help us. It’s so very appreciated. 😭💔
