A Better You Counseling Services is expanding our team! We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide high-quality mental health services to individuals and families.
Position Details
• Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow)
• Location: Gilbertown, Alabama
• Schedule: Flexible weekday daytime hours, afternoons hours available (no weekends required)
• Population: Children, adolescents, adults, and families
Responsibilities
• Provide individual/family counseling
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and insurance standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support holistic care
• Participate in supervision and training as needed (LMSW)
Qualifications
• Current Alabama license: LMSW or LICSW
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

📣 It’s been a busy and rewarding week for A Better You Counseling Services!

Bailey McIlwain, LMSW, and Nicole Turner, LICSW, PIP, kicked off the week in Huntsville, AL, at the National Child Advocacy Center, attending a professional training to enhance the care we provide to our clients. 🧠📚

On Wednesday, we hit the road again—this time to South Choctaw Academy and Patrician Academy—where we had the opportunity to meet with teachers and staff to share valuable information about children’s and teens’ mental health, as well as the therapy services we offer at A Better You. 💬💛

We were joined by Anna Sims from the Regional Child Advocacy Center who educated teachers on the important work the CAC does to support and protect children in our communities. 👏

We are so thankful to both schools for their warm welcome and for allowing us the opportunity to collaborate, educate, and continue building a stronger network of support for our youth. 💙

🌟 Please help us welcome Bailey McIlwain, LMSW, to A Better You Counseling Services! 🌟

We are thrilled to have Bailey join our team! She brings passion and a heart for helping others. Bailey earned her Master of Social Work from The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and is currently working toward certification in treating adolescents with problematic sexual behaviors.

Bailey has extensive experience working with children and has also volunteered with Christian Services, where she provided food and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. She completed a year-long training with Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (L.E.N.D.), further enhancing her skills in working with diverse populations.

At A Better You, Bailey will be working with children and teens who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, behavioral challenges, ADHD, and more. She is currently completing her 96 hours of clinical supervision, after which she will be eligible to sit for her LICSW licensure.

You may even spot Bailey “around town” as she continues her mission to educate and advocate for mental health in our community.

I’m proud to share that I have officially received my PIP (Private Independent Practice) license in Social Casework in the state of Alabama!

Together with Leslie Gill, LICSW, PIP, our team is now fully authorized to conduct private adoption home studies and submit adoption reports to the court for independent (non-DHR) adoptions.

This certification enhances our ability to support individuals and families through the adoption process with professionalism, compassion, and care. We’re honored to walk alongside families as they grow and thrive.
