Project RISE: fueling the soul Helping families have options to go, do, give and serve.

Empowering an army of women to turn their life's deepest health, financial, or relational grave into the most beautiful garden because they decided life should happen FOR them instead of TO them.

If I'm comfortable, I'm not growing.

Comfort zones feel good.

They feel safe.

We "think" they protect us.

But GROWTH...

I want to be able to say at the end of my life that I took the risk, I pushed myself, I fell down and I got back up!

So here's to never getting comfortable... starting with this weighted vest.

Mental barriers... they suck!

If there's anything I've learned through physical activity, it's that my mind is usually the only limiting factor, not my body!

But sometimes you need a reminder that YOU.CAN.DO.HARD.THINGS.

One of the best tips I can give is to read about/listen to people who've also done the hard things. It's not only encouraging, but helps you see outside of your own bubble and ask questions like, "what if?"

WHAT IF you could start your own business? WHAT IF you could take better care of the body God have you? Or WHAT IF you could take on the big, crazy dream inside your heart that you've pushed aside for years?

Yes, WHAT IF?

If you're ready for a change, or at least curious about what that would look like, check out this week's webinar with adventure man extraordinaire, Bear Grylls.

So I MAY have went a little overboard... on the peanut butter, that is.

Today was perhaps the last berry smoothie bowl of the season. Not because I can't have them in the fall/winter, but I lean more towards a snickerdoodle or banana nut bread smoothie, or even a quick mix up in a shaker cup. I really love the versatility.

It's a good thing our company is still offering a FREE bag of Complete, since that is my secret, not-so-secret, ingredient.

If you've been on the fence about trying it, maybe now is the opportunity you've been looking for.

Pushing myself is hard.

I'm not an intrinsically motivated person by nature, so when things get hard, it's so easy for me to back off and gravitate toward what's easy or comfortable. (I'm actually to where I kinda hate that word... comfortable.)

Rachel Hollis says, don't break promises to yourself. While this statement has served me well over the last few years, it's something I still struggle with from time to time.

A friend sent me this exerpt from a book recently and it stung... like alot: "Vision-driven people are motivated people. Find me a man or woman who lacks motivation and I'll show you someone with little or no vision. Ideas, yes. Dreams, maybe. Vision, not a chance."

Not what I wanted to hear, but definitely something to consider.

In the gym, I love pushing myself to see just what my body can accomplish, but other areas, especially ones where maybe no one is "watching", now that's a different story.

So what's the solution? For now, at least, find someone to help keep you accountable, and get a VISION for what's to come.

I need a reset.

For the last year, I've been doing intermittent fasting in addition to working out 5-6 days a week and taking my plant capsules, Complete protein, and omegas daily. My body has responded well, but what I've not been doing daily is keeping my diet really clean.

Sure, if given the option, I choose whole foods, gluten free, dairy free, etc, but I've not been super diligent about planning ahead and making preparations to make those healthier food choices in a while.

So this week begins our next 10 day reset. Here's what I'm looking forward to...

Keep taking steps.

Even when they're rocky or uncertain.

Even when you can't find anything to hold onto.

Even when you can't see the other side.

Even if you're not 100% comfortable with it.

Even if others around you are scared.

KEEP.TAKING.STEPS.

The best way to impart a behavior on others... M O D E L it.

Ever heard the saying, "do as I say, not as I do?" As a parent, I'm certain I've recited those words I heard growing up to my own children. However, I don't feel as if it's the best teacher.

Children learn best by doing, and the easiest way for that to occur is to imitate what they see their parents modeling for them.

It's up to us to choose behaviors carefully we wish our children to do... spending daily quiet time with the Lord, loving others well, choosing kindness even when I'm frustrated, and yes, even how I take care of my temple.

How can I expect my children to exercise or make healthy choices if I don't also make those?

I can't.

So choose a family walk.
Make a healthy meal together.
Grow your own food.
Send a care package to a sick neighbor.

Your kids are watching.

What's getting in your way?

I set out on a mission to be the best me that God created me to be. And what exactly does that look like?

Seek the Lord with my WHOLE heart.
Protecting my temple.
Physically Strong.
Mentally Strong.
Dependable.
Honest with myself and others.
Advocate.
Overcomer.

If you're like me, sometimes you feel that you take a few steps forward only to be drawn right back. But if you really think about it, with every step you LEARN, you GROW, you TRUST a little more, thus becoming closer to the picture of God's design.

So when things get in the way, or you feel like you're fighting an uphill battle, remember who the winner is and whose side you're on.

Feeling a bit like I'm hosting a talk show.

Let's talk BOOK CLUB!

I've always felt like reading fiction was a waste of my time. I mostly feel the need to be "ON" and only doing things to make me feel productive.

But reading this book has me in the best of both worlds... it's like a non-fiction/fiction book. I love how the characters are developing, yet I'm learning at the same time.

And sharing time each week with my sisters discussing what we've learned and how it applies to everyday life is so fun.

This week it was more like a round table discussion which had me feeling like I was the host of a talk show.

Maybe that's something I want to add to my portfolio.. talk show host. Afterall, I do have the gift of gab!

Creating a supplemental income stream from home over the last 6 1/2 years makes me PROUD. It's allowed me to say YES more often.

Choosing to partner with a company whose mission is to inspire healthy living around the world makes me PASSIONATE.

Waking up every morning with a passion and purpose in my heart makes me INSPIRED to share it with those I love and care about.

I love making an income for my family and I love that it's as simple as inspiring families to add more good into their own lives as we have done.

Now through the end of September, if you as an adult begin eating JP+ everyday, you can sponsor a child for FREE to eat their own fruit and veggie chewables AND get 15 servings of our Complete plant powder for only $5 shipping.

Think fuel for maximum performance and health. 🏋️‍♀️

Life is a series of habits.

Just when we think we're on this linear path called life, we either take a swift turn upward experiencing enormous amounts of success, or a nose dive wondering why in the world life seems so bad.

So what was the thing that got us there, either toward success or failure?

Our HABITS.

Yep, habits are those things we do every day that we literally think nothing of because they're so automatic.

We're either growing or we're dying.... I know which side of the coin I want to stay on.

I'd be happy to share the resources that have grown me in my understanding of this. DM for more.
