Vision: Kate’s vision for the business stems from her passion for overall health and wellness, as well as the daily frustrations experienced with the current medical model while practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She recognizes a higher alternative approach is needed to help her clients succeed in health. Kate understands that making a lifestyle change can be quite challenging, but she has the passion, the experience, and the education to help modify your behavior and live your best life. Kate’s ability to address both physical as well as mental challenges make her unique in the healthcare field. Education: Kate obtained her Bachelors in Exercise Science as well as her Master’s and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from St. She is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider with continuing education in the areas of Cranio-Sacral Therapies, John Barnes Method of Myofascial Release Techniques, and extensive education in the areas of nutrition and functional food. She also recently received training in the cutting-edge approach of Vibration Medicine, developed to address mental and physical imbalances with Healy Frequency Treatments, which are also FDA approved to treat painful conditions. Personal: Kate is a single mom to two young boys. She loves exploring the world with them and introducing them to all kinds of physical and educational endeavors. She is passionate about athletics and exercise, including yoga for its mind-body balance. She was a finisher in the 2008 Kansas Half Ironman Triathlon, and dapples in swimming, biking, and running to this day. She was the founder of the Saint Louis University Ladies Ultimate Team in 2001, and has been an advocate for the sport and the spirit of the game ever since.

I visited Capitol Hill for the first time today for a CJD advocacy event. Staffers were incredibly attentive. I’m inspired by my colleagues through the CJD foundation who showed me the way. I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity to use my voice for those who no longer have one.

We have been working hard to reconstruct a beautiful office for rent. There is a small office (~8’x8’) with an attached treatment room (~10’x12’). I think the space would be perfect for a chiropractor, PT, or therapist of some kind.

The tenant of this space will also have all of the benefits of the membership of our coworker space which includes office supplies and materials, Biomat sessions, meditation classes, coffee, and tea. There will be a fridge stocked with healthy prepared foods by Just Right Eating - Edwardsville, Il eating for purchase . The benefit of being a tenant as opposed to a member will also give free access to the community spaces of the classroom & conference room,  both of which are still under construction. Stay tuned for updated pictures of the community space.

Monthly rent will be $1250.

We are working to create a community that supports private practice, clinicians and whether you have an established practice or just getting started I hope we can support each other. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

At Alton Memorial Hospital, we believe that respectful, compassionate care starts with listening.

Parents who have delivered with Alton Memorial Hospital within the past year are invited to join us on Wednesday, March 4, from 11 a.m. to noon at Alton Memorial Hospital’s Cafe Conference Room A & B for a Respectful Care Conversation focused on our OB-GYN care. This informal lunch-and-learn is an opportunity to share feedback, reflect on your experience, and help shape the future of care for families in our community. Lunch and childcare support will be provided, along with access to helpful community resources.

“Creating space for parents to share their experiences is essential to delivering respectful, patient-centered care,” said Diane Baumgartner, BSN, RN, assistant nurse manager of women and infants. “When families feel heard, it strengthens trust and helps us better support every parent we serve.”
