Registration open now for High School Girls - Parts of Me Teen Therapy Group

Parts of Me Teen Therapy Group uses the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model to help teens explore the inner world of their emotions, identities, and protective patterns.

This group is designed to help teen girls develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, interpersonal insight, and compassionate self-leadership by exploring their inner system of “parts”.

This group offers a safe, supportive space to:

• Understand the different “parts” inside you (e.g., the anxious part, the angry part, the perfectionist part)
• Learn how to relate to your feelings without judgment
• Build self-trust and inner confidence
• Connect with others going through similar struggles
• Practice being your full, authentic self

Parents of 9-12 year olds - The Connection Club is taking registration now!

The Connection Club is a supportive, skills-based group designed for children ages 9–12 who were just starting school or in the early grades during the pandemic shut-down and may have missed key opportunities to develop social skills in formative years. Many children experienced disrupted peer groups, lost social cues, and fewer chances to practice important skills like turn-taking, sharing space, and building healthy relationships.

This group will focus on strengthening communication and social skills to help children build confidence and foster more positive connections with others.

We’re honored to share that Family Service of Glencoe has received a grant from the Highland Park Community Foundation!

Last week FSG Board President Samantha Aronow and Vice President Ryne Tennant (pictured) along with Kelly Clark, Manager of Development and Communications attended HPCF's Annual Grants Distribution Celebration at The Art Center of Highland Park. We had the opportunity to connect with many other organizations doing great work, and we’re proud to be among such an inspiring group of grantees, each making a meaningful difference in our shared community.

Our heartfelt thanks to for their continued support of our work in the Highland Park and Highwood communities. Together, we’re helping individuals and families access the care and resources they need to thrive.

🎃 Happy Halloween from FSG! 👻

Last Friday, FSG board members Karen Rogatz and Dave Barta brought some spooky fun to the FSG table at last Friday’s Boo Bash, hosted by the Park District !

They had a frightfully fun time doing puzzles, playing games, coloring Halloween pictures, and mingling with so many wonderful community members.

FSG loved being part of this spirited event, and seeing so many smiling faces and creative costumes!
