One of the best things you can do for your health is eliminate refined processed sweeteners.

This includes: White Sugar, Brown Sugar, Corn Syrup, Splenda, Swerve, Equal, and Truvia.

Here’s why:

❌ Artificial sweeteners have no calories but have been shown to contribute to weight gain by encouraging sugar cravings. They are also linked to health risks. Splenda (sucralose) is an artificial sweetener made by chlorinating sugar and independent research links it to leukemia and other blood cancers. Equal (aspartame) is linked to increased risk of brain tumors, lymphomas, leukemia, and heart disease.

❌ White sugar, brown sugar, and corn syrup all have zero nutritional value. It’s addictive; it makes you fat, tired, depressed, and age faster; dulls your skin; weakens immunity; and when consumed in excess, causes all sorts of diseases.

❌ Most stevia sweetener products on the market are not pure stevia and contain mostly erythritol (a sugar alcohol made from corn). Truvia (Coca-Cola’s branded stevia product) goes through about 40 steps to process the extract from the stevia leaf, relying on chemicals that are known carcinogens (substances that cause cancer).

Quick and easy lunch made from a quick trip to Whole Foods, after the gym I grabbed an organic rotisserie chicken, organic herb salad mix, and some blue cheese. I already had prechopped peppers from some veggie meal prep and tomatoes and cucumbers. Added some hot sauce to the chicken and made buffalo chicken salad. Whipped up some blue cheese kefir dressing using an immersion blender and you have a quick and easy healthy lunch. Definitely one of my favorites lunches .

Quick and nutritious lunch. I always cook up a batch of plain quinoa for the week so that I can use it for a quick side for lunch, dinner, or even a breakfast bowl. I also always have something fermented in my fridge like this red cabbage kraut. Then add in a pan fried from frozen turkey burger. Add some salsa and sautéed yellow squash and a colorful and satisfying quick lunch. @ Gloucester, Massachusetts

It a lactofermenting kinda day. Meal prepping one of my favorite condiments: purple cabbage and red onion kraut. Love it aside any grilled meats, especially steak and lamb, and makes a great taco topping. Easy, delicious and full of nutrients. @ Gloucester, Massachusetts
