So this is very exciting! I will be at Maraki Day Spa on Thursdays and Fridays and every other Saturday starting next week!

Fun fact about me… I am also an artist! The paintings hanging in the massage room are my own pieces. Hand and arm pain is something I am personally familiar with because frankly I don’t always practice what I preach when it comes to using proper body mechanics in my artwork 😬. A massage is great way to alleviate tension and pain in those often ignored hand and arm muscles. There is a time and place for various modalities and they have their uses but don’t get caught up in the gimmicks either. Most people just need a thorough general massage with some targeted techniques used intentionally sprinkled in. Your body is interconnected, so what is bothering you in one area may actually be due to another area. A good general massage will hit a little bit of everything. My senior cat getting his nightly massage. Yes, animals enjoy massage too! Both this guy and my corgi will ask me for their massages. Similarly to people, I have to get to know their bodies, discover their preferred pressure levels, figure out where their aches are and address those areas. Many muscles and bones are even named similarly.

The biggest difference is I use a lighter touch with them (especially this old boy) and most people don’t bite me if I come across an irritated area 🤣.
