Goodland Regional Medical Center is proud to support our local schools and is now featuring an Athlete of the Week for both Goodland High School and Fort Hays Tech Northwest.

𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙤𝙛 October 20th

Fort Hays Tech Northwest has selected Sophomore, Salisu Habibu for this week's Athlete of the Week. He is originally from Kaduna, Nigeria and is studying in the Precision Agriculture program. He is also a member of the Cross Country Team. “Salisu is really starting to find his rhythm," said Coach Mendez. "We got a late start to training in August as he was coming off an injury, but his progress has been impressive. He's dropped over a minute and running a season best of 26:03.9 in the 8k, just seven seconds off his lifetime best. He’s a hard worker, great individual, and someone who’s going to do great things both on and off the track.”

Goodland High School has selected Sophomore Sadie Sederstrom, for this week’s Athlete of the Week. She is a member of the ladies' Golf team. "Sadie did a very good job this week at the state golf tournaments. She brought her score down on the second day and climbed from 96 and 35th place to an 87 and a 20th place medal. She gave it her all and played with confidence!" Said Head Coach Connie Livengood.
