Arizona Musicfest’s beginner-friendly West African Drumming class is presented by Arizona Rhythm Connection. Join us for these fun, community-building session as Frank Thompson guides you through learning techniques and styles on the Djembe an Djun. Explore traditional rhythms and develop your improvisational skills in a community-based environment.
No drum? No problem! Drums will be provided for each participant.
These classes are in the Community Room at Arizona Musicfest. Adults only.

REMINDER - Frank will be at AZ Musicfest on Thursday August 31st for their monthly HealthRHYTHMS Group Drumming Session.

The group meets once a month on the last Thursday of the month in the Arizona Musicfest Community Room from 4P - 5P. Come join Professional Artist and Facilitator Frank Thompson in improvising rhythms using drums and percussion instruments. No experience required, rather sessions use the drums as a fun gateway activity to build community using recreational music making.

Drums are provided, all you need to bring is enthusiasm!
