Hi there friends and family! This is my first post on this page I just set up for Gene's journey. I wish I had started this page for Gene's Kidney Journey when it first began...which was over two years ago!! He started dialysis February 2020 and he goes 3 days a week in center Dialysis. He is the strongest man I know! I can't imagine how dialysis must make him feel, or how exhausted his body must be from not having functioning kidneys, but he never complains and always pushes through to be the best husband, father, and person he can be. He is amazing, and if anyone deserves a kidney, it is Gene!! His numbers on his blood work are always so good that all the doctors and nurses brag on him constantly.
Not only is Gene a kidney dialysis patient, but he is also the best advocate for kidney dialysis patients! He has met with many Senators and Representatives to help get Legislation passed that is beneficial to Dialysis and post-transplant patients. Another reason I wish I had set this page up 2 years ago is so we could have tracked his progress and how much he has done for the National Kidney Foundation and now the Dialysis Patients Citizens! If there is ever anyone I wanted to advocate for me, it would be Gene! He makes me so proud every day! Amazes me really! There is so much to share of what he has done over the past two years. I love him so much, and I know a kidney is coming for him soon! Please keep him in your prayers!
