💎The Gems that make Goshen EMS shine: Justin Babik 💎. Justin is and EMT/Driver for Goshen EMS. Justin enjoys being the one to show up on people’s worst days. Since his hire in 2024, he is most proud of his growth and drive to never settle- always learning, always improving. His coworkers describe him as fiercely loyal, cool under a pressure and ready for anything, qualities he brings to every shift. Justin treasures the meaningful moments with his team, whether it’s a supportive chat, a shared meal or just having each others backs on every call. Fun Fact …… if it drives, flies or floats he can pilot it.

This year during the week before Valentine’s Day our staff took part in a Valentine Wall. Staff members took the time to write one another sentiments, inside jokes, and encouraging words. It was so great to see everyone excited to write positive heartfelt messages to their partners and to read the messages left for them on their off days. These hearts are a testament to the amazing team we have here at GEMS. From our family to yours ………. Happy Valentine’s Day !!! (Names have been blocked to protect staff privacy.)

🌟 One of the many 💎GEMS💎 that make Goshen EMS shine Kaitlyn Seeley 🌟
Goshen EMS is proud to spotlight Kaitlyn Seeley, one of our dedicated EMS professionals who has been serving our community for the past three years.
đźš‘ A Day on the Job:
Kaitlyn’s day always begins with a rig check — and after that, anything can happen. Like many days in EMS, no two shifts are ever the same.
❤️ What She Loves Most:
The best part of the job for Kaitlyn is the strong teamwork among her coworkers and the opportunity to help members of our community when they need it most.
🎓 Why Goshen EMS Is Special:
Kaitlyn is proud to be part of an organization that plays an active role in educational programs that help train new EMTs, supporting the future of emergency medical services.
🏡 Off Duty:
When she’s not on the rig, Kaitlyn enjoys exercising, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.
Thank you, Kaitlyn, for your dedication and commitment to Goshen EMS and the community we serve! 💙🚑

**SERVICE DISRUPTION**
Orange County Department of Emergency Services is monitoring a nationwide Verizon wireless service disruption that is impacting voice and data connectivity. Some devices may display “SOS” mode, indicating limited network access.

As of this time, Verizon has acknowledged the issue and is actively working to restore service. The outage is affecting multiple regions, including New York City, Chicago and Richmond, VA.

Residents are encouraged to check Verizon’s network status page for the most current updates and to use alternative communication methods if needed.

Orange County Department of Emergency Services has been in contact with our state and local partners regarding the situation.

At this time, there are no reports of 911 calls originating from Verizon being impacted. Residents are strongly discouraged from calling 911 unnecessarily to test whether calls go through.

Thank you so much to Chief Investigator Mike Masopust and investigator for giving Goshen EMS a tour and an incredibly informative training tonight. It was eye opening to learn what happens after EMS clears the scene. We are thankful for agencies like the Orange County Medical Examiner’s office who take time out of their day to help us grow.
