I had the pleasure of starting this beautiful placenta yesterday! If you look closely at the first picture you can see the yolk sac!

It's not very often you get to see one. The yolk sac is responsible for providing nutrients to the fetus until roughly 12 weeks of pregnancy, when the placenta takes over.
Generally by this time, the yolk sac is almost undetectable on ultrasound. The yolk sac is often absorbed by the fetus, but in some cases it is not fully absorbed and you are left with the membrane of the yolk sac.

1.believe it or not my affirmations/bible verses that I put on my wall a few weeks before he came is my top #1! Saying these out loud truly makes you believe that you can do it!
2.support person(in my case my husband). Whoever you invite in your birthing space is SO important. When I was in transition and got to the point where I was saying that I couldn’t do it,he was there to remind me of my affirmations,etc! Choose this person well and really think of who you want in there! Choosing the wrong person can cause labor to stall and contractions to stop actually!
3.the shower/warm water. Ellston ended up being born in the shower because it was where I could relax the most and I didn’t want to get out 🤣
