I am a woman. Phenomenal Woman. That’s me!
LADIES HONOR YOURSELF!

It's easy to overlook your own strength as you plug through your daily routine.

Don't forget to honor yourself today - whether through a self-care practice, your favorite meal, or a moment of gratitude for how far you've come.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.” PSALMS 107:2

Do you see those scars on my belly?? I proudly wear those scars as a badge of honor because of what they represent. Let me start by saying that there is a big difference between a wound & a scar — When someone has a wound, the healing process can involve suffering that may feel worse than the initial acquiring of the wound. A scar says, ‘I’m healing & this is my story.”

God has a purpose and plan for my scars, & your scars. You see, I have these scars to remind me of just how much God loves me. I boldly and courageously show this scar to remind you that God is a Healer and a Miracle Worker. He truly is that light in the darkness, whether your darkness is on an operating table, in a bad marriage or all in your mind

There is a deeper reality

Do you know what scars really represent, though?

Healing.

They represent that a disturbance is gone. You’re forever marked, but not plagued by a constantly open wound. The wound scabbed over, then scarred. It leaves you looking different, but healed.

Over time, I will share more of my healing story. But for now, I want to encourage you to embrace your scars whether they are mental, emotional, physical or spiritual. And give God the glory for your healing. https://2empowerinc.org/resources

Coaching is an opportunity to learn more about ourselves. No matter how experienced we are, we all can use someone to help us see our situations from a different perspective and rewrite the stories that we tell ourselves.

There are whole industries dedicated to telling you you’re broken. You need fixing. You’ll only be good enough when you see a certain number in your clothes or on the scales. That “success” means having a certain job, looking a certain way and living a certain lifestyle.
But let’s be honest, magazines – and even many health and wellness professionals – sell diets, exercise plans and tell you that’s wellness and happiness. It’s not.
They tell you that when you’re embarrassed, guilty, disgusted or simply exhausted enough – you’ll change. But that’s not worked before and it won’t work now.
You don’t need fixing. You just need some help to appreciate and prioritise yourself. What you need is a little self care. Book a 6 week Self-Care Workshop for your team, sorority, dorm-mates, women’s ministry etc.

Friendship is the most important form of self care you can invest in. We were never designed to grieve alone; we were never meant to celebrate alone.

We are meant to be seen. And being seen by our besties is a gift to be treasured.

Life is too hard and too wonderful to do it without the presence of a good friend. Thanks to my weekend with , my cup is full.

Toxic positivity is an obsession with positive thinking. It is the belief that people should put a positive spin on all experiences, even those that are profoundly tragic.
Toxic positivity can silence negative emotions, demean grief, and make people feel under pressure to pretend to be happy even when they are struggling.

Just like anything done in excess, when positivity is used to cover up or silence the human experience, it becomes toxic. By disallowing the existence of certain feelings, we fall into a state of denial and repressed emotions. The truth is, humans are flawed. We get jealous, angry, resentful, and greedy. Sometimes life can just flat out suck. By pretending that we are “positive vibes all day,” we deny the validity of a genuine human experience.

Everything worthwhile in life is won through surmounting the associated negative experience. Any attempt to escape the negative, to avoid it or quash it or silence it, only backfires. The avoidance of suffering is a form of suffering. The avoidance of struggle is a struggle. The denial of failure is a failure. Hiding what is shameful is itself a form of shame.

Taking ownership of how you feel and responsibility for how you work through those feelings doesn’t just improve your life but it directly affects the people around you.
You’re not an island. You’re a human being in relationships that matter.
And being a human means you feel fear because of past experiences which could negatively impact your current relationships.

One way to move through your tricky feelings (not around them) is reminding yourself that it’s okay to feel this way.
It’s okay to feel off-balance. You don’t have to minimize, judge, or apologize for your past, and you don’t need to pretend you’re okay when you’re not.
You feel things for a reason.
The biggest thing is to be aware, to wrap your emotional state in awareness instead of moving away from it.
That’s why affirmations are such helpful tools for working through your uncomfortable and persistent emotions: they ground you in the here and now and force you to face your current situation with awareness, intention, and hopefully a deep breath.
Each affirmation here is like a “note to self.” It’s an “I” statement of what’s true for you, or what’s possible for you. It’s a recognition of reality, a way to validate the way you feel, move on from your past, honor your present situation so that you can accept the blessings that God has for your future.
