November is National Healthy Skin Month; however, you can learn to keep your skin healthy year-round by following our tips. Here’s a tip:

K E E P Y O U R H A N D S O F F Y O U R F A C E 🤭

Whenever you touch your face, you transfer dirt, germs, and oil from your hands to your face. Do your best to leave your skin alone throughout the day. Avoid picking, popping or squeezing pimples, as this can cause scarring.

November is not just about turkey, pumpkin pie, and Black Friday sales—it’s also National Healthy Skin Month to raise awareness of the importance of having healthy skin that is fresh, hydrated, and healthy all year long. There are many things you can do to protect your skin to keep it healthy, prevent skin damage, reduce signs of aging, and protect one of the most vital organs of the body.

We are celebrating by reminding you to take a second during this busy holiday season to look at your skin! Here are a few tips on how to keep your skin healthy this month:

1️⃣ Get a Spot Check: Did you know that the late fall and winter months are some of the best times to get a full-body screening? Your skin is at its palest during these months, which makes it much easier for your skincare professional to check for irregular spots.
2️⃣ Wear Sunscreen: We know it’s not beach weather anymore and even though it doesn’t feel like the sun is damaging your skin, it could be. Make sure to apply sunscreen to the parts of your skin that will be exposed to the sun, especially your face. Not only will this protect you from harmful UV rays but it will also keep your skin moisturized!
3️⃣ Stay Away From Tanning Beds: It may be tempting to hop into a warm tanning bed when it is cold out, but avoid it at all costs. Studies have found a 75 percent increase in the risk of melanoma in those who have used indoor tanning beds, and the risk increases with each use.

We offer a myriad of services to help keep your skin healthy. We proudly offer highly skilled and trained staff who take great pride in ensuring they deliver the highest quality of skincare services in the region.

So, before you take a seat at the Thanksgiving dinner table, take a moment to look at your skin and make an appointment to come in and see us. Healthy skin is our pledge to you.

November is 💜

Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) happens when there is stress or pressure on the bladder. Stress urinary incontinence can happen when weak pelvic floor muscles put pressure on the bladder and urethra by making them work harder. With stress urinary incontinence, everyday actions that use the pelvic floor muscles, such as coughing, sneezing, or laughing, can cause you to leak urine. Sudden movements and physical activity can also cause you to leak urine.

There is a lot of misinformation on SUI. Do not feel you have to "just live with" SUI because of the following myths:

• It is part of being a woman.
• It is a normal part of aging.
• It is hereditary (My mom had it and so will I)
• I could have prevented it.
• There is nothing that can be done about it.

👉👉 WE CAN HELP! Talk with us about your SUI so together we can come up with a treatment plan.
