You may have noticed the blue fencing on Main Street. That’s because improvements are coming downtown! Downtown Grand Junction and are excited to announce the 400 Block Main Street Project, a redesign that transforms the underutilized space at 5th and Main into a vibrant downtown destination for play, gathering, and connection. The new design features:

⛵️ Two children’s areas that will include a ship-themed play area and a play mound
♟️ Interactive sidewalk games.
🪑 Additional flexible seating
☀️ Added shade

Construction is scheduled from March 23 to May 2, 2026. Business and sidewalk access will remain open, and there could be some temporary impacts to parking near the site.
