We’re getting all set for an awesome 1 year celebration of KAI on Sunday, March 1st!

It’s wild to look back, how far we’ve come, how much we’ve grown, and how even the building has evolved! Our laser cut, weathering steel courtyard was once battleship grey. Now it brings warm rust tones to our modern build!

Big thanks to KKCO for coming out to KAI. As one of the only locally owned dispensaries in Grand Junction, we are tremendously grateful to local media for sharing our voice.

The biggest takeaway from this story, in our opinion, is the fact that the media and the federal government are finally accepting that cannabis use can be safe and has medicinal value.

It seems overdue and obvious to many Coloradans, but this has been a long road, in which for decades a plant with centuries of medicinal use was vilified, while dangerous opioids were marketed to the public. These small stories amount to larger wins for the industry and a positive change in public perception.

With the rescheduling of cannabis from a Schedule I substance to a Schedule III, it brings long overdue vindication to an industry working tirelessly to provide safe, high quality products to the public.

We spoke with a local dispensary about how to use cannabis safely amid new retailer concerns.
