You donโt need to feel guilty for taking care of yourself.
Itโs not selfish.
Itโs necessary for your well-being, relationships, and ability to show up fully in your life.
Taking care of yourself includes:
๐ Setting boundaries to protect your energy.
๐ Saying no to gatherings that feel overwhelming or draining.
๐ Leaving events early when youโve reached your limit.
๐ Asking for support when you need it.
๐ Delegating tasks instead of doing everything yourself.
๐ Needing personal space to reset and recharge.
๐ Taking breaks without having to โearnโ them.
๐ Practicing self-soothing when emotions feel intense.
๐ Honouring your feelings, even when others donโt understand them.
These are signs that youโre listening to yourself, respecting your limits, and building a more sustainable way of living.
At Blue Sky Learning, our neurodiversity-affirming therapists and coaches support you in letting go of guilt, setting boundaries, and caring for your needs in ways that feel safe, valid, and empowering.
