Our theme this year is Beauty Within. I hope you choose to join us on the journey to discovering this awesome treasure and explore the priceless value of yours! We have a few boxes left, come get yours!

We also went to the Unity Walk to Stop the Violence with Church! We introduced the mentoring program and joined Pastor Greg Amunga, the GRPD, and other community organizations to talk about solutions for helping young people find positive alternatives to any negativity they may be facing. We also heard from families that were victims of violence. We want to be a part of the solution for creating positive change in our communities and beyond. It’s starts with self. Let’s help each other to become better by lifting each other up and being accountable for our actions. She Mentor Her is ready for action!

We had our first kickoff meeting of the season with our new theme, “Beauty From Within”. It was amazing! This year our focus will be on loving ourselves and reflecting God’s love to others. We will learn to recognize self sabotage, how to show up for ourselves and become our biggest cheerleader. We will learn the difference between confidence and cockiness. We will learn how to befriend ourselves so we can be better friends to others, and we will learn how to set limits and exceed expectations. We have some wonderful guest speakers lined up for the year and as always, an awesome crew of leaders and therapists. Hopefully you can join us for a session or become a member. All meetings are posted online on our website. We are a nonprofit, so please consider donating. We would love your support. Our first meeting with the ladies was awesome! Our theme was honesty and truth. I had a pleasure of doing a literally raw presentation, lol! I gave Disha Roddy an uncooked piece of bacon (it was so thick, lol), raw rice and egg yolk on a platter and tried to convince her that it was cooked and she should eat it. Of course in everybody’s mind they knew the truth, but in life when we deceive ourselves into believing something is not real or we lie about ourselves, it could have dire consequences. It’s a shame that I had to throw that good piece of bacon away, but I think everybody got the point. We also made some cool journals and went over our minty training. Everyone appeared to have a great time. I can’t wait until the next session, we will have a guest speaker!
