🍁 It has been an incredible fall with so many members of our community attending classes including teachers, dental health workers, parents, grandparents, older siblings, and home health workers. I am profoundly grateful to each of you, not only for supporting my business but also for taking this pivotal step towards creating a more prepared and resilient community! 🍁

Empower yourself with life-saving skills by signing up for this CPR class in Penn Valley. You'll learn about adult, child, and infant CPR, AED operation, choking relief, and how to handle special circumstances like drowning and opioid overdose.
For an additional fee, you can also stay for the first aid portion, which covers responding to medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, and injury emergencies. Call or message to reserve your spot.

1️⃣ As long as your phone has battery you can make an emergency call. Tell them your location immediately because if disconnected they may not be able to call you back.
2️⃣ Emergency calls from cells are routed to the nearest dispatch to the callers location.
3️⃣ By staying on the line, you allow them to provide life-saving instructions, gather necessary details for responders, and confirm that an emergency is not ongoing. Dispatchers can give very valuable information, even walk you through hands only CPR until the ambulance arrives.

Recent changes in infant compressions! The two finger technique is NOT recommended as of last week per the new AHA guidelines. Studies show that this technique is not as effective in providing quality chest compressions as the (1) thumb encircling technique or (2) using the heel of 1 hand to provide compressions.
This is one of several scientifically backed updates and improvements. To learn more about the new guidelines, sign up for a CPR class near you. Please note that many instructors are still in transition, so be patient with us as we have had many changes made to the materials and curriculum for our classes.

Hands only CPR is easy and just as effective as traditional CPR in the first few minutes after cardiac arrest in adults and teens! Every minute counts, so any CPR is better than no CPR.

*Traditional CPR with rescue breaths is recommended for infants, children, victims of drowning or drug overdose, or in anyone who collapses due to breathing problems*
