This morning at the farmers market, we witnessed God’s love in action through the incredible generosity of our church family, our friends, and the amazing team at Pretty Pink Drink Co. 🍋

Everyone rallied around our sweet Clinton in the most beautiful way. Through the joy of lemonade and the kindness of so many hearts, funds were raised to help support Clinton’s upcoming trip to the Cleveland Clinic. As he continues to face the challenges of epilepsy, you all became the hands and feet of Jesus—loving, serving, giving. ✝️

What a beautiful reminder that we serve a God who sees, who provides, and who surrounds us with His people at just the right time. Every cup of lemonade, every dollar given, every hug, prayer, and kind word—it was all part of something bigger than us. We saw Jesus in your smiles. We felt His peace in your hugs. We are reminded once again that where two or more are gathered in His name, miracles begin to stir, because He is in the midst.

Pretty Pink Drink Co., your heart is just as sweet as your lemonade. We are so grateful for your compassion. You didn’t just serve lemonade today—you poured out hope.

We trust the Lord with Clinton’s healing, and we’re leaning into the promise that He goes before us. Thank you for walking alongside us.

Today we took Clinton to a new neurologist in Knoxville. She came in and immediately started talking to Clinton before she even spoke to us. She was very thorough. She was with us for over an hour. She had already read through all his records and then heard everything from us as well. Then went over everything they did and found in Cleveland as well. She ordered a whole panel of labs today on the very first visit that we went right down to get. She gave us the name of two other medications she recommended to take with what he’s taking now. She said for us to keep the Cleveland appointment coming up. Unfortunately, they don’t have the capabilities to do the test they want to do up in Cleveland in Knoxville. So she wants me to take those recommendations up there. She was shocked he’s only on one medication. She said the one he is on normally only helps with focal epilepsy where they can pinpoint an area not generalized like he has. She also suggested a surgical option that would be a good possibility that doesn’t involve taking any part of the brain and not actually opening the skull etc. It’s a laser surgery that the big hospital in Memphis and one in NC has mastered. She even said she would call up there and go over with their office everything that we talked about today and stay in touch with them. We do feel peace about the trip since we spoke and met with her, but we just need a lot of prayers that we can financially make this trip. My anxiety is so high right now. Not really about the trip itself and making things work, but just for Clinton. We hate seeing him in pain or hurting or crying and we know he’s going to have a really hard time with it. We just could lot of prayers for a lot of things that are unknown and what comes next. Prayers we find answers for Clinton, ultimately, that will leave him seizure free. Please pray he will be as comfortable as possible in the hospital in Cleveland. We know GOD will provide. HE is good and will take care of us. Extra prayers are always good though. 💜🙏🏼💜🙏🏼

Hi! Lots of updates in the post for our GoFundMe for Clinton. We have a trip coming up soon (June 25th) to Cleveland and another to Vanderbilt in November.
We know God will provide for us like He always has. If you can give, know that we appreciate it more than we can put into words.
Clinton is our life and greatest joy. He is such a blessing to so many. We want answers and to stop all the seizures he’s been having.

Yesterday morning, we had a virtual visit with Clinton’s neurologist from Cleveland. Since getting back to Greeneville, Clinton has only had four seizures during the day. However, he has regressed in certain areas that he has been able to do before such as taking clothes on and off or using a spoon. He is starting occupational therapy at the end of the month, but this was a drastic change. Over the last two weeks, Clinton has not been sleeping well at night. He has been thrashing around in his sleep, often crying out, swinging his arms and kicking. He does take melatonin at night to help him sleep, because if he does not get into a deep rim sleep and sleep well it can increase his seizure activity. After telling the doctor this he is concerned that Clinton is having seizures again in his sleep and that is what is going on at night with the thrashing and hitting. While he is doing this at night, his eyes are often shut and he is not awake or so it seems. That being said, the neurologist would like to see us back again at the Cleveland Clinic in December or no later than January. We were all shocked to hear this. He would like to admit Clinton for another three day EEG at minimum along with doing things like an MEEG in the MRI machine. This has really thrown a curveball at us again. We pray that we can get some additional answers to find out if that’s what is really happening at night and possibly causing him to regress in areas he was once good in. We ask for some prayers as we navigate what to do next. The doctor was going to fill out some paperwork for the insurance and then have scheduling call us to set up a time that works well for us. I don’t know how we are going to tell Clinton or help him understand. He is still traumatized from last time and still talks about it.

Please continue to pray for Clinton and for us.
Lastly, we were so abundantly blessed beyond measure for Clinton’s trip. Even outside of the gofundme. We were certainly not expecting a trip back so quickly. I will update his gofundme. If you are able to help, know we appreciate it more than words can say.

We made it back home to Tennessee safely about an hour ago. Now we move forward with some new information from the Clinton’s visit to Cleveland Clinic and much more information from the research we are doing ourselves. No, not Dr Google. Medical research findings from some of the best Hospitals and clinics in the world. By putting all this information together we are gaining a better understanding as to what we will all be dealing with in the days, months and years to come. I will post more on all of this later.

Hard to believe we have been gone 13 days. Still wishing we had more answers but also knowing that God is in control and we can fully rely on Him. We have taken a few days to decompress and let some things sink in and now it is time to head back home. Headed out in the morning and if we have good weather and good roads we should be home tomorrow night. If we get too tired we will stop for the night and be home Sunday.
