Are you starting to worry about the conversations that might come up around the dinner table? Holidays can be tricky if you aren't sure how to handle uncomfortable conversations, so here are some boundary setting tools you can practice this week.

Be clear and specific.
Do not negotiate.
Be firm and direct.
Do not apologize.

Your boundaries might sound like...
"I am not willing to have this conversation."
"This isn't a topic I want to discuss."
"I hear you, and I won't be engaging with that."
"I'm going to step away from this conversation."
"I have already shared what I am comfortable sharing."
