Stop Holding Ice Forever ❄️ Movement Matters 👟
Old advice like R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) may help symptoms but doesn’t actually speed healing and total rest or excessive ice may even slow recovery. The body’s inflammatory response after a sprain or strain starts the healing process by increasing blood flow and bringing healing cells to the injury site. Instead of immobilizing, gentle movement promotes circulation, prevents atrophy, and supports recovery as soon as pain allows.
🔥 Use ice sparingly for comfort, but don’t avoid movement once swelling and pain decrease.

Had 2030 guard .matthew0 in the lab today! In his first session, he tested a 28” max vertical and we shaved his ground contact time from .51 to .40 just by tweaking his technique a bit.

Matthew was a standout at Langston Middle (SC) this year, averaging 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game while leading his team to the championship game and a 19-4 record while being named all-conference.

Remember the name Matthew Jerman.

With the school seasons winding down, it’s time to start thinking about your spring and summer training plans!

My #1 priority is getting and keeping athletes healthy and available to play their sport while simultaneously creating personalized programming based on each athlete’s needs.

I’ve worked with athletes from elementary school to college and semi-pro, helping them improve their vertical jump, critical basketball skills, basketball IQ and personally doing film breakdowns with them. Whether it’s an individual athlete or you’re a coach with a whole team that wants to develop together, I can accommodate and help you achieve your goals.
