As Greenville’s oldest funeral home we are always striving to provide the best experience for our families. During the spring, while conducting routine maintenance, we determined that our chapel ceiling needed to be repaired and painted. After reviewing the plan we decided to completely renovate our chapel at Mackey at Century Drive. We have temporarily closed the chapel during the planning and renovation process.

In the meantime, all services will be conducted in our newly renovated Mackey at Woodlawn location located at 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville 29609. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we begin our renovation project.

Windstream Veterans (WinVets) Partner With Vantage Point Foundation for Memorial Day Flag Detail

The WinVets are excited to announce that we teamed up this past weekend with Vantage Point Foundation to place flags at Woodlawn Memorial Park in honor of Memorial Day. Vantage Point Foundation’s mission is to guide and support Veterans and their families on a new path toward healing and civilian success. Veterans in South Carolina are provided with training and support necessary for them to become successful and productive members in their community, workplace, and family. I have attended the leadership development course as well as Shennell Estrich and I currently serve as a peer mentor with VPF. You can learn more information at: https://vantagepointfoundation.org/
This year marked our 5th consecutive year placing flags at Woodlawn Memorial Park in honor of Memorial Day. Each year we accumulate more flags by purchase or even donations. It was a great honor to have an estimated 600 flags to place by Veteran's markers this year. We are looking to purchase 400 more flags for there are Veteran plots all throughout the cemetery. With time and more support, we are building up to ensure each Veteran marker is honored throughout the entire cemetery. With a year to plan it out 2022 may be a year we get that done. Look forward to seeing you out there to honor those no longer with us yet never forgotten. --Semper Fi
