It's Purple Day💜 March 26th. A day to advocate for the 1 in 26 who will be diagnosed with epilepsy during their lifetime.
Can we acknowledge how many that actually is?! 🤯 Think about being at a conference or concert, on a bus or walking down the streets of NYC. 1 in 26.
If not already, epilepsy may impact your life at some point!!
There are so many more reasons to care but today my focus is here...
➡️There is no cure.
➡️No two cases are the same.
➡️It is a hidden and chronic disability (you can't see it but it impacts me every day!!).
I will leave you with this...
I have been managing epilepsy for almost 20 years and it is a full time job. Boy, does it take its toll... We have to take things day by day and must make choices that are best for our bodies...
✨So I encourage you to be kind to others, respect boundaries, and educate yourself on seizure care so that you can help someone in a seizure situation.✨
Shoutout to my purple warriors 💜🫶🏻
