Awareness saves lives. 💙 In the span of just one week, two young autistic children were rescued alive after wandering and being found in water. These outcomes were possible because responding officers knew to search water first—a critical understanding when an autistic child is missing.

At NAA, we continue to raise awareness about wandering and water safety because the risks are real—and preventable.

We are grateful these stories ended in rescue, not tragedy. Let’s keep working together to protect autistic children and support families with empathy, education, and action.

Cookies, Cocoa & Connection 🍪☕

This morning, we had the joy of hosting a Cookies and Cocoa drop-off, welcoming parents and siblings into ABA sessions to learn, play, and grow together.

By inviting families to actively engage, we created opportunities for:
✨ Skill generalization in a natural, supportive environment
✨ Parent coaching through real-time modeling and practice
✨ Sibling involvement that builds connection, understanding, and inclusion

Moments like these remind us that ABA is most impactful when the whole family is involved. Thank you to our families for sharing your time, your energy, and your smiles with us—we loved seeing everyone learn together.

Because progress is sweeter when it’s shared. 💙

🎨 Galliant Gals Night Out at the Studio! 💕
Tonight our team enjoyed a much-needed Girls’ Night Out at The Makery — and it was exactly what we needed!

At Galliant, we believe strong connections create stronger support for our clients. Taking time to laugh, relax, get creative, and bond outside of work helps us come back refreshed and even more unified as a team.

From paint splatters to shared stories, it was a night full of creativity, connection, and community. 🌟

Here’s to more moments that remind us how special this team truly is! 💛

🌟 Why Play Matters in Autism Growth & ABA Therapy 🌟

Play isn’t “just play” — it’s one of the most powerful tools we use in ABA to support learning, growth, and confidence for children with autism.

Through play, children learn to explore their world, build relationships, and practice new skills in a natural, motivating way. 💛

✨ Why Play Is So Important:
🎈 Builds Communication: Play creates endless opportunities for turn-taking, requesting, sharing, and using language in meaningful ways.
🎈 Strengthens Social Skills: From parallel play to interactive games, children learn how to connect, engage, and collaborate with others.
🎈 Supports Emotional Development: Play helps children practice coping skills, flexibility, and self-regulation in a safe, fun environment.
🎈 Encourages Independence: Hands-on play builds problem-solving, decision-making, and confidence.
🎈 Boosts Motor Skills: From fine motor activities to bigger movement games, play helps strengthen coordination and physical development.

At Galliant Gretna ABA, we use play-based learning every day to make therapy meaningful, motivating, and full of joy. When a child is playing, they’re not just having fun — they’re growing. 🌱💙

In ABA therapy, hands-on learning is key—and the materials we use can make all the difference! By incorporating a variety of textures, tools, and activities, we help children strengthen both fine and gross motor skills in fun, meaningful ways. 💪🧠✨

🖐 Fine Motor Skill Builders:
Using beads, tweezers, playdough, stickers, Legos, and art materials helps children improve hand strength, finger control, and precision. These activities support writing, dressing, feeding, and other everyday skills.

🏃‍♂️ Gross Motor Skill Explorers:
Hoops, balance beams, balls, obstacle courses, scooters, and crash pads help promote coordination, balance, strength, and body awareness. These activities encourage confidence and independence through movement.

🎯 Why Variety Matters:
Different materials = different learning opportunities! Variety keeps children engaged, supports sensory regulation, and targets individualized goals in a way that feels like play—because learning should be joyful.

✨ At Galliant, we use diverse, child-centered activities to help every learner grow at their own pace—while having fun along the way!
