For summer gatherings, having a well-prepared first aid kit is essential. Creating a budget-friendly first aid kit with supplies from a dollar store is a practical approach. Here’s a list of items you can typically find at your local dollar store to assemble a basic first aid kit:

Band Aids
Sterile gauze pads
Adhesive tape
ACE bandages
Antiseptic wipes or solution to wash hands and wounds
Tweezers
Scissors
Instant cold and warm pack
Disposable gloves (nitrile or latex-free)
Thermometer
CPR face shield
Benadryl (for allergic reactions)
Hydrocortisone cream (for insect bites and rashes)
Triple Antibiotic ointment
Eye wash solution
Hydration salts or electrolyte packets
Flashlight (with extra batteries)
Emergency blanket

Check expiration dates on all supplies.

Restock items as they are used.

Store supplies in a waterproof and easily accessible container. Keep one in the house and in the car!
