So this weekend as I've been working with my clients in my private practice I always say our bodies are amazing machines. I have a friend who got whipped lash from sneezing and another who bent over pick up a dust pan threw her back out. Well I can now say you can tear your biceps tendon and rotator cuff while your sleeping. π.
Then client and I get to talking as they are amazed how my massage session with one arm is really good.
So then here I go down a rabbit hole. You can several different types of disabilities and be a massage therapist. Here are some examples. I taught a blind student and that was amazing. Her massage session was awesome. I know of a deaf massage therapist I really want to go meet her and get on her table. I have had deaf clients and know American Sign Language really helped me with the
Clients.
So these next examples are all from me know. A year after I graduated from massage school I injured my knee in a fundraising soft ball game. I sprained and strained every tendon and ligaments in my knee had a had a contusion under my knee cap and I bruised the tibia bone. Well I was in a knee demobilizer from the hip all the way down to the ankle I literally sat on two rolling stools and massaged so I know I can massage in a wheelchair and now with my shoulder fixing to have shoulder surgery I know I can massage one handed it's actually pretty cool.
Think massage therapy is an amazing career. I love helping people feel better and I love teaching others my passion.
No surgery gonna keep me down for long.
