SCHOOL LUNCH HERE WE GO!
◇Pack like a pro◇
☆PROTEIN (1/4c, 2oz, or 8 fl oz)
hard boiled egg,
beans, soy, lentils
cheese, yogurt, milk
nitrate free delimeat
hummus/jerky
egg/chicken/tuna salad
nuts/seed butter
☆STARCH (3/4 c, 2 slices, or 2 oz)
crackers, cereal
rice/cread,popcorn, pasta, sweet potatoes, granola bar, chips, tortilla
☆FRUIT (1/2 c, or 1 med)
applesauce, dehydrated fruit, orange, banana, kiwi, melons, grapes, berries
☆VEGETABLE (1/2 c -1 c)
cucumber, tomatoes, bellpeppers, carrots, celery, salad greens
☆FAT 1 Tbsp - 1 oz
(keeps kids full and satisfied, important)
Whole milk dairy, eggs, seed/nut butter, fatty meats, avocadoes
-PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
Include an item from each category. Some foods will meet a combination of categories. Serve portions to fit need/hunger. Try to make it fun with your presentation.
