Pharmacies, both independent and corporate, are struggling to stay open. According to Drug Topics magazine 327 pharmacies have closed since Mid- December 2024. 237 of them were independents. Please let your assembly member know you are concerned.We need your help. This issue is only part of it, but its a start. Legislation is needed for PBM reimbursement practices also.

Contact your NY assembly member to include PBM transparency in the assembly budget
Please contact your NY assembly member in Albany requesting support for PBM rebate transparency in the assembly One House budget. The governor and the senate both have it in their budgets. Mandating that PBMs report their rebates from manufacturers will help bring down prescription drug costs and allow the public to see why prescription drugs cost so much in New York. This is a budget issue because it will indirectly lower prescription drug prices.
Getting this in the budget will help the prescription drug floor bill get passed.

Don’t delay, call your assembly member today! The budget is being negotiated right now and will be done by the end of week if not sooner.
