Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH) is an 83-bed acute care hospital that opened in 2012 in Harker Heights, Texas offering an array of services such as a Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated Emergency Room, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more. Our award-winning staff provides patient care with dignity and respect. We are Joint Commission Accredited, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Advanced Primary Stroke Center. SMCHH is a joint venture between the Austin-based Seton Healthcare Family and Nashville-based Ardent Health Services.

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Seton Harker Heights Advanced Imaging Center, located at 2812 Oakmark Drive, Suite B, in Belton!

This cutting-edge facility brings advanced diagnostic services—including MRI, CT, ultrasound and X-ray—right to the heart of the Belton community. Conveniently located next to Freedom Urgent Care and across from Wellstone Health Partners Family Medicine Clinic, our new center is perfectly positioned to support all of your healthcare needs.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce for their support in making this event a success. The Medicare Advantage & Prescription Drug Plan Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) lasts until December 7.

Now is the time to choose your Medicare coverage for 2026!
Question: If I join a Medicare Advantage plan, do I still need to pick a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan?

There are two main points to keep in mind. First, if you join a Medicare Advantage HMO or PPO, most plans include a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan as part of the coverage. The second point is that in most instances, you must use the Prescription Drug plan that is part of the Medicare Advantage coverage; meaning you cannot join a Medicare Advantage health plan and then join another company’s Prescription Drug plan. It is important to verify that your prescription medications are covered by any Medicare Advantage plan you are considering.

Those enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan or a standalone Medicare Prescription Drug plan (PDP) may experience changes to their plan benefits and/or premium for 2026. Carefully review your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter sent early October by your Medicare insurance plan to verify all changes to your coverage for next year.
