In recognition of National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month, UniqueSource Products & Services celebrates Edward Rutherford

A Production Worker at Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania, Edward (Ted) Rutherford is dependable, hardworking, has good communication skills and asks questions when in doubt about a project. He likes to have his instructions in detail because he is very thorough on procedure.

Ted adapts quickly to a new job and has the capability to change from one assignment to another, which is crucial in the field that he works. He is willing to jump in and provide help. Ted is always open to a challenge and has a great attitude.

Additionally, he is very considerate of co-workers and the company’s needs. Ted has learned multiple skills in the job; “It was important for me to learn skills," Ted states, "this job gave me that opportunity.”

which guests, wearing adjustable lightweight blindfolds,
are served five small plates paired with fine wines while enjoying live entertainment.

Venue: Historic King Mansion

This awareness event offers participants the experience of dining through the eyes and senses of someone who is visually impaired.

🌟Ticket price is $100 a guest
🌟This sell out event has limited seating!

Proceeds from this event directly benefit the programs and
services of Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania.

There will be a “blind” raffle at the event.

**All guests must be 21 or older.

Thanks for coming out to our first Annual Back to School Healthy Vision Fair last weekend!

Over 40 children received free vision screenings in preparation for the new school year 📖🎒

Today we celebrate the incredible dogs who do far more than fetch a ball or offer companionship — they are trained lifelines, guiding individuals with disabilities through everyday life with loyalty, intelligence, and heart.

From helping someone with low vision cross a busy intersection to providing emotional support or retrieving dropped items, assistance dogs are heroes with paws. Their impact goes far beyond task work — they empower independence, build confidence, and break down barriers.

We also want to recognize the trainers and organizations who dedicate their time and expertise to prepare these amazing animals for the important work they do.

At Vision Resources of Central PA, we see every day how life-changing a guide dog can be for someone who is blind or visually impaired. Let’s raise awareness and celebrate the paws that walk beside us, not behind us. 💜
