A quick trip to my neighborhood fabric store to check out their new arrivals turned into something much more special 🤍

As much as I love exploring different shops, my favorite local fabric store will always be my go-to place. There’s just something about seeing and touching the fabrics in person that makes me so happy — the colors, the textures, the endless possibilities. It feels like home to me.

But today, what truly caught my heart was a vintage sewing machine sitting quietly in the corner. The moment I saw it, I thought of my grandmother — my mom’s mom. She had the same kind of machine. I don’t know where it is now… maybe one of my mom’s sisters has it.

I wish I had that machine with me. I can almost picture her sitting there, gently sewing dresses and pajamas for me, her hands moving so skillfully, her love stitched into every seam. Just thinking about it makes my eyes a little watery.

The good old days have a way of wrapping around your heart when you least expect it. Today, in the middle of bolts of fabric and soft cotton prints, I felt my grandma with me 🤍✨

I’ve always wanted to design my own fabric, but I didn’t have any background in Adobe Illustrator or other design tools. This week, I finally started learning textile surface design.

It’s not easy. It takes a lot of time and patience to see results. But I’m beginning to believe that I can do it.

I’m almost 55, and I want to remind younger people — and anyone who feels unsure — that it’s never too late to learn something new and invest in yourself.

I don’t know yet if this will become part of my work, because there are still so many skills I need to learn. But I’m enjoying the journey.

After many requests from my wonderful customers, I’ve created a new Extra Large (10x20 inches) removable and washable Proso Millet Heating & Cooling Pad.

This larger size is perfect for:
• Back pain relief
• Daily relaxation

Many of our international customers have been asking why we no longer ship outside the USA.

Before COVID, we proudly shipped all over the world. Some of our strongest markets were Canada, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. We even delivered orders as far as Singapore and Japan. We are truly grateful for the incredible support we received globally.

However, after COVID, many things changed. International shipping became significantly more complicated and unpredictable. Increased shipping costs, customs delays, VAT requirements, tariffs, and other additional expenses made it very challenging for us to maintain the level of service and pricing we believe our customers deserve.

As a result, we made the difficult decision to focus on shipping within the United States only.

We know this has disappointed some of our international customers, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support. We hope that in the future, circumstances will allow us to expand worldwide again.

Essentrics is stretching me in ways I didn’t know I needed.
Watching women in their 60- 70s absolutely crushing multiple classes is the motivation I didn’t know I was looking for 🙌
