Amanda brought the energy to Turn Up Tuesday at Pearl River Community College, connecting with students and sharing the importance of mental health, support, and knowing where to turn when you need help.

Meanwhile, Katie, Sally Moody, and Dr. Chaz Richardson represented Pine Grove at the Mississippi Prescribers Summit in Flowood, engaging with fellow professionals, gaining valuable insights, and continuing to bring the very best care back to our patients and families.

We’re proud to highlight Micah Jones, MS, LMFT-A, a Clinical Therapist with our Gratitude Program.

Micah brings both passion and expertise to her role, with a strong foundation in psychology and marriage and family therapy from The University of Alabama and The University of Southern Mississippi. Having completed her internship within the Gratitude Program, she understands firsthand the depth of care and transformation that happens here every day.

With training in Gottman Couples Therapy (Level I) and as an Associate S*x Addiction Therapist Candidate, Micah is dedicated to helping clients rebuild trust, strengthen relationships, and reclaim their lives.

At the heart of her work is empowerment. Guiding individuals to take back control, heal and cultivate meaningful, lasting connections.

Pine Grove know the importance of being present. Last week Katie represented Pine Grove at the American Academy of Pediatrics Mississippi Chapter Spring Pediatric Conference, and Amanda showed up and stood out at the National Association of Social Workers Mississippi Chapter Annual Conference.

These aren’t just conferences, they’re places where passion meets purpose, where knowledge grows, and where lives are impacted far beyond the room.

Some people quietly change lives and today we’re shining a light on one of those people.

Meet Roland Johnson.

For more than 30 years, Roland has been a steady, compassionate presence at Pine Grove. Since 1993, he has walked alongside patients on some of the hardest days of their lives, helping them find strength they didn’t know they had.

Through Pine Grove’s REACH Program (Realistic Experiences and Challenging Horizons), Roland leads an experiential ropes course that is so much more than just a challenge, it’s a turning point.

Out there something powerful happens.
People who feel stuck, start to move forward. People who feel unsure, begin to believe in themselves again. People who feel alone, learn to trust.

Roland creates a space to safely step outside their comfort zones and discover courage, confidence, and connection. He helps rebuild what addiction and mental health struggles often take away, self-worth, trust, and hope. You can’t measure that kind of impact. You see it in the moment someone says, “I didn’t think I could do that.”
You feel it when a team comes together for the first time.
You know it when someone leaves stronger than they arrived.

A graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, a certified ropes course facilitator and trainer, and a recipient of the “We C.A.R.E. Award,” Roland has dedicated his life to helping others rise. He helps people believe in themselves again.

And in recovery, that changes everything.
