The AIRR Tech Team celebrated the parade of zodiacal animals who ran the Great Race ordered by the Jade Emperor, in which the 12 animals were challenged to cross a wide river to reach the finish line and claim their place of honour: the Rat, the Ox, the Tiger, the Rabbit, the Dragon, the Snake, the Horse, the Sheep, the Monkey, the Rooster, the Dog, and the Pig -- each was accorded the rulership of one year. Those born in the animal's year have associated character traits, lucky days, months, season, colours, flowers, numbers, as well as a lucky star and season for each. Catherine Yronwode and Lukianos wrote the page with contributions by Papa Newt and Nagasiva Yronwode. Catherine and Nagasiva sourced the images by Ksyshakiss, AV Designs, Red Fenix, sensasilapar, an Unknown Paper-Cut Artist, and an Unknown Metal Sculptor. Catherine and Papa Newt did proofreading and site-wide linking and Nagasiva created this graphic announcement. Check out our jovial new page on The Chinese Zodiac!
