Hello All. Nurse Sandy here. I thought I would give an End of the Year report to update everyone on my nursing business.
October: We said goodbye to my first patient, Ms. Bernice. She fought valiantly for a long time and passed at home. Her daughter, Shari honored her mom before, during and after her passing. My take home lesson: the mother-daughter relationship is precious and tender at any phase of life.
November: I began caring for the sweetest person on earth, named Esther. Esther was 97, a stroke survivor and well-cared for by her devoted husband, Larry. As I learned Larry and Esther's love story, my respect for Larry grew and grew. I saw true love in action. Larry took his wedding vows seriously and cared for his wife, through sickness and in health and until death due us part. My take home lesson: If only all husbands could love their wives, like Larry loved Esther. . .
December: We said goodbye to Esther. She passed quietly in her sleep. The grieving was real for all of us, especially Larry. I feel privileged to have been a small part of their lives.
In summary, I have learned much since starting my nursing business eight months ago. Knowing the role I played in both of these families propels me to go forward into 2026 to assist more families during a difficult phase of life. Thank you for following my journey all these months. My heart is full.
