In honor of National Su***de Prevention Month, GiveKindness worked together to find some great resources about su***de prevention. Whether you are struggling with your own mental health, or simply looking to educate yourself, we urge you to check these out!

1. National Su***de Prevention Lifeline- An important number for anyone who needs help and support immediately
2. American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP)- Informational and Preventive information as well as important lifeline numbers
3. Zero Su***de- Informational and Preventive information as well as important lifeline numbers
4. Trans Lifeline- Emergency/Nonemergency mental health support for everyone but specifically focused on helping transgender individuals in crisis
5. AMA (Preventing Su***de in LGBTQ Youth)- Services and information for and about members of the LGBTQ community struggling with mental health crises.
6. Mindfulness and Meditation- Meditation classes offered through Hofstra on Zoom every Tuesday at 5pm
7. Virtual Support Groups- Online support groups offered by Hofstra
8. StayAlive- An app with many Su***de prevention resources
9. Vent- An app to share your thoughts and connect with people online for support and guidance
10. Bee Brave Team- An Instagram page with tips on mental health care as well as stories of other people’s journeys with mental health
