Ray Newman performed for everyone during the party as residents danced along to his music! Barney and friends made a visit and joined in on the fun! Great food, costumes, dancing, and music made the party! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible! It was so much fun! 🎃🎃

“Fall Festival Party” and Bobbing for Apples! 🍎 We had some fun bobbing for apples while blindfolded with tongs and made it a contest! Each resident had a minute and half to get 11 apples out of their container! It is harder than it looks! It was so much fun! The first place winner was Sarah! Dave came in second place. We also had a “Best Costume Contest”. The First Place Costume Winner was Carol in her Elvis Karate costume, Second place went to Marie in her Butterfly costume, and Third Place was Margaret in her unique orange hair Halloween costume! We loved them all! It was hard to choose! All the winners received prizes! Residents were still talking about how much fun they had after the party! 🎃 It was great!

“Apple and Pumpkin Pie Making”! 🥧
Our residents were back in the kitchen again making up some scrumptious homemade apple and pumpkin pies! They all did a great job helping preparing and baking the pies! The best part was enjoying the final product! We had to have some ice cream on top of it of course! 🥧🥧🍨

“Chili and Cornbread Cook-off” 🌶️
All our departments participated in the cook-off today and residents were the judges! The cornbread recipes were turned in by residents and they brought their family recipes for good ole country cornbread! 🍞 The winner for the chili and cornbread cook-off received a gift basket! A special honor goes to the winner of the cornbread cook-off. Their cornbread will be the main cornbread made in the dining room for the next year! The winner of the cornbread cook-off is Margaret! She made her “Margaret’s Country Cornbread”! The staff award for the best chili was Chef Alli Kelly from our culinary department! Great job ladies! We are so proud of you!

“Apple Cinnamon Muffin Making”! The wonderful smells of baking in the kitchen bring back so many memories for our residents. 🥮 Our bakers made some scrumptious muffins this week! Fall is here and time to bake apples 🍎 and cinnamon muffin desserts. You can almost smell those muffins!
