We’re excited to share that 28:Tenn Fitness is now officially “Foster Friendly,” a designation awarded by Tennessee Kids Belong.💜

Who are they?

Tennessee Kids Belong is a nonprofit working to improve the experience and outcomes for kids in foster care by recruiting and supporting foster families—and by encouraging local businesses and community members to step in and help.

As many of you know, my family and I fostered for three years. Although we’re no longer fostering, our heart is still with the families who continue to say “yes.” And while not everyone can foster, everyone can support the families who do.🫱🏻🫲🏻

We’re proud to be part of the Foster Friendly movement and display our new sticker at the gym.

Today, I pause to remember what service really means.

🎃 “It’s Only $5…”

Our client Kyle said something that cracked me up—because it’s too real.

He said when he shops at Five Below, his mindset is, “It’s only $5.”

Then the cashier says, “That’ll be $92.”😂

Sound familiar?

That same thinking sneaks in this week…

👉🏻 It’s only one fun-size candy bar.
👉🏻 It’s only 68 calories.
👉🏻 It’s only a handful of M&Ms from the kids’ stash.

But those “onlys” add up fast.

Too many things “in moderation” stop being moderation.

This week, before you reach into the candy bowl, pause.

That one piece might be fine—but stacking too many can undo the consistency you’ve worked so hard for.

Be strong, and do the work!💪🏻

🌟 Client Spotlight: Jill Wilson 🌟

We love celebrating our 28:Tenn Fitness family, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Jill!💪🏻

Jill joined us two years ago with one big goal: to overcome her back and shoulder issues and get stronger. She showed up consistently—no matter what—and the results have been incredible:

✅ Stronger at 55 than she felt at 25
✅ More energy to enjoy daily activities like lifting, walking, and cycling on her Peloton🚴🏻‍♀️
✅ Healthier gut and steady weight loss through an anti-inflammatory diet (without giving up her Bruster's Real Ice Cream🍦)

Even while facing chronic migraines, Jill’s determination never wavered. As she puts it: “I made the decision that I didn’t want to go backward, so I got out of bed and showed up in the gym anyway.”

Her wins? Down two clothing sizes, lifting heavier weights, and enjoying more energy than ever before. Jill says, “Working with Adam is the biggest investment I’ve made in myself, second only to my college education.”

And her next goal is bold and inspiring: “To be stronger at 65 than I am at 55, and stronger at 75 than at 65.” We have no doubt she’ll get there.💥

Bill has been a part of our 28:Tenn Fitness family for a long time, and he continues to inspire us every single week. His consistency, positive energy, and determination show that fitness isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up and putting in the work.

At 72, Bill is still proving that strength and health don’t come with an age limit.💪🏻 He’s a reminder that when you commit to yourself and keep moving forward, you can continue building a strong body and a healthy life for years to come.

✅ CPR & AED Recertification—Complete!

This morning’s class was led by American Red Cross instructor Starla Black of Divine Testing Solutions—a fellow member of the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce Hendersonville, TN.

We had four in attendance, including me:

➡️ Jesse Davenport – Physical Therapist at The Movement Shop in Gallatin
➡️ Melissa (Mel) Black – Educator with Metro Nashville Public Schools
➡️ Monterio Black – Starla’s husband
➡️ And myself

Starla did a fantastic job leading the class and definitely didn’t let us off easy—roleplay!💪🏻
