A medicinal journey through sound

Creations Heartbeat had a beautiful celebration with those who attended the land blessing and sound healing at The Emerald Woods Friday evening. The Bear spirit was strong as she emerged from the woods from hibernation. An offering of corn, to***co, zucchini and pumpkin seeds were given to the spirits of the First Nations who tended the land as well as other white offerings for the heavenly spirits. What a gift it is to be on that land and to be allowed to hold sacred space beneath the old Oak. Forming relationships with the land is important. Especially in these times where often times than not, the spirits of the fauna and flora are forgotten. It’s up to us to rebuild these relationships and to grow our connection with creation and creator. Approaching life and prayer with giving hands as opposed to those that want to take and take without reciprocity.

Creations Heartbeat had the privilege of doing a sound healing for the volunteers of in Hot Springs NC. These folks have been working hard to help rebuild this small town that was decimated by hurricane Helene. Hot Springs is a community very dear to me (Chris) and I have friends there who lost so much. My gratitude to the hard work this group has done thus far and will continue to do for the weeks to come. Blessed be these mountains, waters and these fine folks. What a gift it was to be able to do this at the foot of the mountain with the sacred waters flowing by.

Hello my friends, Creations Heartbeat is excited to be able to share its Shamanic sound journey for one last outside event before winter hits. The responses from our previous events have been so overwhelming. Thank you to all who have attended and trusted us in this work.
We shall return to the beautiful property of The Emerald Woods in Marion on December 15th. This special event will be held from 3-5pm under the old Oak tree on the property accompanied by a warm fire. After the event, there will be hot soup, other comfort food and hot tea. Please dress warm and bring something comfortable to lay on and maybe some blankets. Being outside in the elements is the way this journey was intended and we really believe that despite the chill in the air, it will be impactful.
As winter approaches life slows down and many creatures go into hibernation waiting for the warm weather and the sun to return. In a way some animals return to the womb in the earth to rest until warm weather returns and life begins to grow again. We can feel that warmth in the earth and return to that first heartbeat that we felt. This is a time to return to that inner child that is feeling the heartbeat for the first time. Emerging in spring with a renewed sense of life and rebirth. Let this medicine take you inwards and down, back to that place of rest and contemplation.

Thank you to the beautiful community at The Center of Conscious Living and Dying .community for allowing us to bring our medicinal sound journey to The Lighthouse. Thank you all who attended and for the heart warming responses. For those who are unfamiliar with CCLD, they are an non profit Omega home located near Asheville NC that brings in residents who are close to making their final transition and give them a loving, community, support system to make their final rite of passage easier. A big part of Creations Heartbeat is to nurture that vulnerable inner child. As we emerge from the womb of creation we enter a world in need of tending and when it’s time to give our spirit house back, we leave in a similar manner.

Creations Heartbeat sends its deepest gratitude to Lilly and The Emerald Woods for allowing us to bring our sound journey onto the land. When Creations Hearbeat was in its visionary stage, we dreamed of being able to offer this work under an open sky with a central fire. Last night we were able to make that a reality for a group of people in Marion NC. To have the sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet, to be able to look up and see the stars through the root like branches of the giant Oak tree, and to dance with the drum under an open sky was profound. Our hearts are full of thanks and inspiration to continue on this path wherever it leads us. Thank you Great Spirit that goes by many names, spirits of the earth and sky and to The Emerald Woods for sharing this with us.

There is beauty in decay. As we enter the dying seasons it's good to reflect on what has been lost. The very foundation of the earth we walk upon is built on the remnants of all life that came before. Often times it's talked about seeking support from our ancestors and all those who came before in the form of prayer or by seeking guidance from their spirit. The idea that we are actually held up in this world by what is left of the physical body is something powerful to think about. They nourish the new growth, support our homes and then cradle us when we cross the threshold. In ways, we are always supported by our ancestors. We are all connected in this way. One day we will become ancestors and our bodies will pave the way for the generations to come. -Chris

My friend and ally Amber Moon has an offering for the folks of Western NC in the wake of Hurricane Helene. She and her practice are located in Hendersonville.

"As the dust begins to settle outwardly, may we begin to turn within to allow the inner dust to settle. Creating space for our mind, body and spirit to journey towards the integration of the deeper layers of impact that occurs when living through a natural disaster. We begin to find the way back home to ourselves, tending to our tender hearts.
For November I am continuing to offer donation based craniosacral therapy to tend and mend the nerves of those who have been impacted by the unfolding of hurricane Helene’s impact here in Western North Carolina.

This past weekend, Creations Heartbeat hosted its first two public medicinal sound journeys. A big thank you to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville and to Tribal Trends for allowing us to use their spaces to share this work with our communities. We look forward to sharing your spaces again in the future. I would also like to send a big thank you to Amber Moon of Gentle Spirit Healing for offering her strong presence and healing touch to Sundays event. Thank you to all who came and sat with us, offering your energy and presence to the experience. Keep your eyes peeled for more events coming soon.

Creations Heartbeat has two free medicinal sound sessions lined up in Hendersonville NC on Friday October 25th and Sunday October 27th. These sessions are for the communities that have been directly affected by Hurricane Helene. Our mountain communities have suffered such a catastrophic loss that has caused such heartache. May we come together and begin to lessen this grief and know that we carry it together.
