A little break from 🌷! Yesterday I made Mike’s Grandmas Swedish Sweet Rolls!! They take a long time to make ( knead dough, let rise, make rolls, let rise, etc)
BUT, they are oh soooo good!

I know it’s snowing outside here in Western PA, but we have beautiful spring bouquets featuring our own farm, grown tulips! Stop in in Hermitage grab a warm beverage and a bouquet!

Here’s a few of the orders that left the farm today! For a couple orders I was given instructions to “make them spring and cheery!” Which I happily did since it is snowing again today, here in Western PA! And of course they all feature our fabulous tulips grown right here on the farm!

Although there is snow on the ground (again) here in western PA, I’m staring my sweet pea seeds this weekend.
Spring is coming! ( at Least that’s the mantra I tell myself every morning!)

Make sure you have the sound on - that noise you hear that sounds like static is indeed Daley Run running very high! I love that our house overlooks Daley Run and the woods. I love hearing the sound of the water flowing- it’s so soothing!
The spring thaw has officially begun and the creek is running high!
Daley Run flows through my family’s farm and then through our Flower Farm on its way to the Shenango river!

Winter SOWING’ 26 continues! Little video of how I go through and Winter sow. today we’re doing some vegetables and then we’re going to move onto the sweet peas!
I have had great success Winter sowing so I continue to do it and it allows me to plant some of my flowers by Winter sowing and some by regular traditional seed starting in the dome containers on heat mats and under the lights in my basement grow room. This allows for any problems that might occur in one area. I hopefully will not be without the flowers because I have the back up growing in a different area. This also allows me to grow for my brides and florist and then also for the UPICK field.
