On March 21, our community will gather for an evening that directly supports an exciting project for our very own kiddos: a STEM Lab at Hernando Intermediate School.

This lab will give students hands-on access to science, technology, engineering, and math experiences that build critical thinking, problem-solving skills, creativity, and real-world application. From robotics to collaborative design challenges, the STEM Lab will create opportunities that extend beyond the classroom and will impact kids for years to come.

When you attend the gala, you’re not just coming to an event, you’re helping equip the next generation with tools that prepare them for the future.

✨ BEHIND THE SCENES ✨

The sensory gym is hands-down one of the most loved spaces in our clinic and for good reason. The sensory gym is where kiddos can calm their bodies, transition between activities, have fun, and work on meaningful therapy goals all at the same time.

Not only is the sensory gym a cool and calming place, it is filled with some neat toys and activities.

🐠 Fish tank that gives kids a quiet, calming visual break when they need it
🎢 Swing to work on balance, coordination, and regulation
🟡 Light board with pegs to build visual focus, fine motor skills, and creativity
⚪️ Ball pit for movement, body awareness, and big sensory input
🟦 Sleeping bag and weighted blanket to help bodies feel grounded and regulated

Every tool in this room has a purpose. Our therapists use these activities intentionally to help kids feel ready to learn, engage, and make progress toward their goal, whether that means building attention, improving motor skills, or helping a kiddo feel calm and ready to learn.
