Hello friends! I would really appreciate it if you all could fill out this nomination form to help a cause that's near to my heart. My neighbor, Grace Loeb, started an organization called Guardian Hands several years ago, which she began in order to bring together families affected with rare disease, and also to raise awareness for the community. And though I only recently got involved with the organization, I quickly developed gratitude towards the cause that aims to form a coalition amongst us all to educate the public that alone we are rare, together we are strong. ❤ It only takes a few minutes to fill out, and if chosen, the grant will help Guardian Hands receive funding for their upcoming annual Walk Against Rare Diseases on February 24th. Hi friends! My name is Maylan Chavez, and I am both friend and neighbor of the lovely Grace Loeb! She has bestowed upon me the honor of posting on behalf of Guardian Hands' social media sites, and I will now be posting updates on upcoming events and opportunities!
Join us as we start a new season of giving back and helping those in the rare disease community! With love in our hearts and spirit in our blood, we'll come together stronger than ever! Our next official event will be FEBRUARY 24TH, 2018! More details to come!
And a little about me, for those who are curious. I am Grace's neighbor and this past year I was happy to join her Walk Against Rare Diseases for the first time! I am 23 years old and I was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type II at a very young age. I know what it's like to have a rare disease and all the obstacles that come with it. For this reason, I'm so happy organizations like Guardian Hands exist to promote awareness for the community!
