Tailbone pain can make simple things miserable.

Sitting.
Driving.
Leaning back in a chair.

The tailbone (coccyx) sits at the very bottom of the spine and absorbs pressure when we sit. When the surrounding muscles, ligaments, or joints become irritated, it can create sharp or deep aching pain.

Common causes include:

• Falls onto the tailbone
• Long periods of sitting
• Childbirth
• Tight pelvic or glute muscles
• Repetitive strain from exercise

Sometimes the pain isn’t just the bone itself. The coccyx has many muscle and ligament attachments, so tension in the surrounding tissues can keep the area irritated.

That’s why treatment often focuses on restoring movement and reducing tension in the surrounding structures, including the hips, low back, and pelvic muscles.

When the body starts moving normally again, pressure on the tailbone can ease and sitting becomes comfortable again.

If sitting has been bothering you more than it should, your body might just need a little help resetting the tension.

BALANCE.

Your nervous system is constantly shifting between two states:

⚡ Sympathetic — action, stress, performance
🌿 Parasympathetic — recovery, relaxation, repair

Both are necessary.

The problem isn’t stress.
The problem is when the body stays stuck in stress mode too long.

That’s when people start to feel:

• tight muscles
• headaches
• poor sleep
• shallow breathing
• constant tension

Your body simply hasn’t had the chance to fully shift back into recovery mode.

Chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, and bodywork help restore motion and circulation, which signals the nervous system that it’s safe to release tension and reset.

When balance returns, people often notice:

✔ deeper breathing
✔ looser movement
✔ calmer mind
✔ better recovery

Your body was designed to move between effort and recovery.

Sometimes it just needs a little help finding its rhythm again.

I had the honor of meeting and working with 17 new people this weekend, plus regulars!

“I don’t really have any pain…”
turned into
“Wow… I feel amazing.”

Most people don’t realize how much tension, imbalance, or restriction they’ve adapted to — until it’s gone.

A lot of them had never seen a chiropractor before. They had no idea how out of sync their bodies had become.

Living out of balance is like skipping your oil changes.
It feels fine… until it isn’t.

Maintain the engine.
Rotate the tires.
Get aligned.

Your body works hard for you. Take care of it.

If you’ve been meaning to come in, this is your sign.

And if you’ve had a great experience with us, we’d love for you to share it in a Google review — it helps more than you know. 🙌

Check out our reviews from checking people out this weekend!

Interrup the pattern.

Nothing changes unless you change it.

Waiting Isn’t Neutral.

Stress accumulates.
Tension accumulates.
Posture declines slowly.
Energy fades gradually.

You won’t notice it —
until you really notice it.

Health Is Either an Investment or a Bill.

You can:
✔️ Move better now
✔️ Sleep better now
✔️ Prevent bigger problems later

Or…

You can pay for repair.

You Don’t Start Because You’re Broken.

Interrupt the pattern.

Have you ever fed a toddler?
Take a note from a toddler during a meal... The dancing between bites! What beautiful body movement exploration!

It reminded me of something I’ve noticed...
Even though I can squat my body weight and run for hours,
balancing on one leg and raising the right one to my chest past parallel makes me cramp.

*It’s a sign that movement was being lost unnoticed.

Unnoticed, I’m dying.
That bit of motion was lost, unknowingly.
From sitting? From work? From school? Maybe.
From not doing the motion?
WELL…. I was able to run 2 hours yesterday. TWICE! There were hills that required raising the legs.

So why cramp?
From simply not doing end range of motion in day to day life? Absolutely.

My Motivation
My toddler exclaims “Do it Daddy!”
Mimic his dance, jump while he bikes between my legs, or simply Stand on one leg!
If I am to “Do it Daddy” for years, mobility needs to be noticed and checked in on.

Plus I can’t let him get stronger and faster than me. We grow together.

Challenge to you
Check your end range motion so things don’t go unnoticed.

Is this also to get me as your patient?
YES! My job, working on the body, is awesome and I get to meet and help great people like you!
