It’s snowing…. again….
And we are all just trying to survive the rest of winter. Seasonal Affective Disorder is very real, especially in the Northeast where winter light drops dramatically. You’re getting shorter days, gray skies, and cold — all of which affect circadian rhythm, serotonin, and melatonin.
If I had to narrow it down to the highest-impact combo for SAD I’d recommend:
1. 10,000 lux light box every morning
2. 20 min outdoor walk in the AM
3. Fixed wake time everyday
4. 3x/week exercise
5. At least one scheduled social plan per week
Hang in there, brighter days are coming ☀️
